Update: Friday Morning Power Outages

Sponsored by:

Update at 6:30 p.m.: PG&E is reporting a new power outage in the Bumblebee area of Tuolumne County off Highway 108 north of Strawberry that is impacting 58 customers. The outage stretches along Leland Reservoir, Leland Meadow and Upper Leland roads. The utility relays that a crew is heading to the outage site to investigate a cause. Currently, there is no estimated repair time given.

Additionally, the company hopes to have the lights back on for 76 customers along Riata Way in the Angels Camp area in the next hour. Those customers have been without electricity since just before noon today. However, the lights also went out for that same areas Thursday night around 7 p.m., as reported here.  Repairs were made overnight.

Original post at 6 a.m.: Sonora, CA — Cleanup continues today following the storm system that passed through over the past couple days.

There are many downed trees in high hit areas. PG&E reported yesterday that well over 5,000 customers were without power in the region, but the number is now in the hundreds. There are still 77 customers outside of Angels Camp and dozens in the greater Sonora area.

There are also scattered single customer outages in the Tuolumne, Twain Harte and Groveland areas. PG&E hopes to have full restoration by later today.
