Governor Brown’s Plan For California

Sponsored by:

Sacramento, CA — Governor Jerry Brown will deliver his vision for the new year, and you can hear it on AM 1450 KVML.

The annual State of the State address will air live at 10am this morning. Earlier this month the Governor introduced a $122.6-billion budget proposal. The Governor says it will increase spending education, healthcare,  infrastructure, and beef up the rainy day fund. State revenues have been increasing over the past four years.

The Governor has recently made climate change one of the top issues, and this is likely to be among the discussion this morning. The Associated Press adds that Governor Brown is hearing some criticism for not being more aggressive after calling for special session last year on infrastructure and healthcare financing.

This will be Brown’s sixth consecutive State of the State address. He also served as Governor from 1975-83.
