Update On Yosemite Lightning Caused Fires

Sponsored by:

Yosemite, CA — Four lightning caused fires in Yosemite that ignited in early June are now extinguished.

Yosemite officials had been monitoring the fires over the past couple of weeks. They were all under an acre in size. The Yosemite Creek, Boundary and South Fork fires were Mariposa County. The Wheel Fire was in Tuolumne County, and was burning near Glen Aulin High Sierra Camp and Waterwheels Falls. Fire officials will be keeping a close eye on the weather this weekend as dry lightning is possible, and high temperatures are predicted.
