Calaveras Supervisors Cancel Tulloch Meeting
San Andreas, CA — Calaveras County was planning to hold a special meeting today related to Lake Tulloch.
County officials report that the meeting has been cancelled, and discussion on the matter will be postponed until the upcoming March 10 meeting. There were scheduling conflicts to get the needed parties together today to discuss the potential water drawdown at Lake Tulloch. As reported previously, water could be released in the coming months to help the fish population downstream. Local Congressman Tom McClintock, and others, have recently criticized the plan. Today’s meeting was designed to be an information gathering session, and the Supervisors could then decide whether to send a letter with their opinions to decision makers. The drawdown would notably impact 2,500 CCWD customers that live in the Copperopolis area.
The upcoming March 10 meeting regular session meeting is scheduled for 9am.
