Sonora, CA — Early this morning, portions of Washington Street in downtown Sonora were blocked off, and traffic was diverted to the side streets.
Sgt. Scott Johnson of the Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office says it was done as part of the continuing investigation into last Saturday night’s fatal shootout, and it was not because of a new incident. Washington Street was closed from approximately 3:30am – 5am. Traffic is moving freely this morning.
