Six counselors at a high-security youth detention facility near Stockton have been fired over a videotaped altercation with two inmates.

An investigation revealed that tweo of the officers used excessive force during the fight, while the other four falsified reports about the beating.

The fight occured in January at the N-A Chaderjian Youth Correctional Facility.

In the videotape the abuse appears to continue even after the two youths were subdued.

The six officers are appealing their firing.
