The fly over generated dozens of telephone calls to the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s and Sonora Police Department and AM 1450 KVML radio.

According to a Modesto Bee investigation, a spokeswoman for the Air National Guard´s 116th Fighter Wing in Fresno, says is was not them.

One witness identified the jets as twin-engine F/A-18 Hornets. California National Guard in Sacramento also responded by saying it wasn´t them either.
