Area law enforcement, county and city government officials and California Office of Emergency Services personnel will meet this hour (11:30 a.m.) to finalize local emergency response plans.

City of Sonora Police Chief Dwane Ellis says “We already have plans in place in case of something like biological thing happen. We already have a plan in place to deal with that.”

He told AM 1450 KVML radio news this morning that the department is fully aware of what is taking place in Iraq but at this point he has not ordered increased police patrols.
