Sonora firefighters say they raised well over $10,000 for the daughter of Aimee Eaton, who died a couple of weeks ago when she was hit by a car in Sonora.

Organizers of Saturday´s fund raising effort won´t reveal the exact amount of money collected, but a spokeswoman at the fire department said the amount was -quote -“substantially more” than $10,000.

A trust fund for the little girl has also been established at California Central Bank in downtown Sonora and will continue to accept donations.
