Donald J. Smyth passed away Saturday, November 2nd, at his son’s residence in Chico, CA.
Donald is survived by his children, Steve Smyth (Lynn), Tom Smyth and Suzy Amaro (Marty); grandchildren, Jennifer Shewey (Bryce), Chris Smyth (Becca), Pat Smyth (Brittany), Casey Snyth (Kelli), Brett Smyth, Joanne Smyth, Patti Amaro, Andy Amaro and Jack Amaro; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Patti Smyth; son, Mike Smyth; brother, Bob Smyth; and sister, Joan Trowbridge.
Brusie Funeral Home (in Chico, CA) is in charge of arrangements.

- Services: Cremation has been held and his family had a Celebration of his Life. Private Inurnment will be with his wife, Patricia Smyth, and son, Mike Smyth in Mt. Shadow Cemetery in Sonora, CA. Because of his love and compassion for animals, Don was very supportive of the Tuolumne County Humane Society (10040 Victoria Way, Jamestown, CA 95327) and any donations in his name would help their cause.
