Rodney “Rod” Craig Richmond, born October 19, 1961 in Anaheim, California passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Doctors Medical Center in Modesto, California. Rodney Richmond was a husband, a father, a “grampa,” and man with a heart of gold. A fierce fan of the LA Rams, loyal supporter of his AutoZone family, world traveling skier, and lover of NHRA Top Fuel drag racing. Rodney leaves behind a family who loved him, including his wife Mary, his daughters Melissa and Megan and their families from Knoxville, Tennessee, brother Clay and wife Kathy and their family, stepmother Barbara, stepsister Debbie and her family, stepchildren Emily and her husband Jake and children Ellis and Glen, Evan and Heather, and Andrew and Janelle and their family, and many more loved ones.

Rodney was preceded in death by his mother, Laverne, his father, Dick, and close knit step brother, Paul. Rodney will be buried at the Mountain Shadow Cemetery in Sonora on Sunday, November 12, 2023. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society, our family’s preferred charity.
