DeWayne was an active and loving father coaching and/or cheering on his children throughout life.  While in Fremont the couple was active in the community and enjoyed touring in their motor home, taking motorcycle rides and camping.  The couple moved to Copperopolis in 2012 quickly putting down roots and becoming part of the community.  By August 2015 DeWayne finally realized his lifetime dream of owning a bar the couple purchased the well known local sports pub, Micki and Larry’s Sports Pub.  Under the new moniker “The Pour House” DeWayne threw himself into his “retirement Job” embracing every aspect of the business and loving every minute of it.

DeWayne was well known for his humor; always smiling, laughing and delivering one-liners that kept people in stitches.  He was generous to a fault and always there lending a hand to anyone who needed it.  He was happiest when he was helping people.  He loved to hug and if you were lucky enough to have known him you would have been embraced in his warm hug many times throughout the years.
