Robert Torres, Born June 27, 1968 in San Mateo, California. He was the youngest of five children. He moved to Sonora in 1976 with his family and attended Sonora Elementary and Sonora High School where he competed on the high school wrestling team. He graduated from Sonora High School in 1986. All who met him will remember him as friendly, and witty with a great sense of humor. Robert enjoyed his time meditating, practicing Tai Chi, observing nature, and photographing local wildlife. Robert always enjoyed visits from his family, especially his nieces and nephews. He was kind and loving and will be missed by all. Robert passed away on December 9th after a long illness. He was pre deceased by his father, Frank C Torres and brother, Richard Torres. Robert is survived by his mother Elvia, siblings Ylianna, Frank (Jenny), and Enrique (Lucy); nieces and nephews Marisa (Jory), Marco, Joseph, Alyssa, Michael (Olivia), Mateo, and great-niece Brooklyn. There will be a small service for immediate family only. In lieu of flowers, please donate to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
