Sandra C. DeVine born May 6, 1942 in Oakland, California passed away peacefully Friday, September 30, 2022 at at the home of her daughter in Sonora, California.  She graduated from Benicia High School in1960, where she was the school’s first Homecoming Queen. In the 1980s she moved to the Don Pedro area. While there she attended the Merced Police Academy. Soon after graduating she became a park ranger for Mariposa County.
She eventually moved to Manteca. She passed the Civil Service test and went to work at Sharpe Army Depot. She was transferred to Tracy Defence Depot. She retired from there in 2009.

She liked to hunt and fish. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sandra also went on several cruises to Mexico and Hawaii with her sister and brother-in-law.

Sandra is survived by her son Scott Alameda (Lois) of Sonora, her daughter Kris Waltrip (Ron) of Sonora and her sister Renee Treat (Norman) of Manteca. She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 16 Great Grandchildren. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents Luther and Mayme Hamlin, a brother Roland Hamlin, a sister Sherril Dyer , a grandson Zachary Yeager and a niece Melissa Scott.
Sandra will be missed forever by her family and friends. She will be eternally in our hearts. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a future date.   Terzich & Wilson Cremation-Funeral Home entrusted with arrangements.
