Bonnie Pearl Durling, born June 4, 1943 in Modesto, California passed away Saturday, October 23, 2021 at Sutter Gould Medical Center in Sacramento, California

Bonnie Pearl Durling passed away peacefully on October 23, 2021 at Sutter Memorial Hospital surrounded by her family. She was born on June 4, 1943 in Modesto, California to Manford Lee and Martha Pauline Blansit. She was 78 years old. Bonnie and her husband Delbert “Sonny” Durling moved to Tuolumne County 54 years ago, living in
Tuolumne the majority of their lives. She worked as the chief business officer at Summerville High School for 30 years. She also worked at Soulsbyville Elementary for a few years after retirement.

Bonnie was a member of the Tuolumne Community Baptist Church in Tuolumne where she worshipped, played the piano and sang in the choir. She was raised as a devoted Christian under the beautiful influence of her “Little” Grandma Martha Jane Gideon Blansit of Missouri.

Bonnie was an artist creating beautiful scenic oil paintings. She was also skilled at many crafts like her one-of-a-kind hand-painted “houses” which she sold for many years at the Christmas at the Colony craft fair with her good friend Marge Kiriluk. She also loved reading books, crochet, needlework and building puzzles. She took many RV trips with
her husband, family and friends. She loved to stay in touch with friends over lunch dates. But most of all, Bonnie’s favor~te thing to do was spend time with her husband and family, whom she loved unconditionally.

Bonnie is survived by her 3 children and their spouses, son Robby Durling and daughter-in-law Hilary of Tuolumne, daughter Lynn Gookin and son-in-law Pete of Columbia and son Brian Durling and daughter-in-law Sandy of Sacramento. She had 7 grandchildren and 2 grandson-in-laws. Gage Durling, Alana and Cory Broad, Ryley and
Tyler Erickson, Lynsey Gookin, Sierra Durling, Lucas Durling and Samantha Durling.

She_ is survived by 7 siblings and their spouses, Paula and Jim Wagoner, Lonnie and Allison Blansit, Marlene and Gary Peters, Alice and Tony Quayle, Jackie Brumley, Kenny Blansit and Darren Blansit. And she is also survived by many nieces, nephews all around the United States and cousins in Missouri.

Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents Manford Blansit and Pauline McKinsey in 2003, her husband of 49 years Delbert Eugene Durling of Tuolumne in 2012, her brother Michael McKinsey, and her niece Vikki Rae Wagoner in 1987.
Services will be held on November 6, 2021 at 1 :00 at the Tuolumne Community Baptist Church with a graveside ceremony following at Carter’s Cemetery in Tuolumne.

Donations may be made in her memory at St. Jude’s Hospital.
