JohnEverett was born to a ranching family and spent time in the mountains on his grandfather’s cattle range in the mountains. He attended Curtis Creek Elementary and Summerville Union High School, where he was an active member of the ROTC.

From childhood, John was an avid Civil War/history buff. John joined the Mother Lode Gun Club while in high school and was an active trap shooter at the Angels Gun Club. He competed locally, at State and competed nationally twice in the Grand American World Trap Shooting Championship.

Following his high school graduation, John began driving calf runs for his uncle, Clifton Hodge. Later, he purchased his own calf run in addition to working for Clifton Hodge; eventually taking over Clifton’s calf run. Over time, John expanded his business from Petaluma to the Oregon Border.

John was a fiercely protective father and husband; always supportive of family and friends. He leaves behind his wife, Sheree Fraser; twin children, Brinley and Brylan Fraser; his mother, Kathleen Hodge; Father, Daniel Fraser; Grandmother, Annalie Hodge; Grandmother, Patricia Fraser; Uncle/Aunt, Clifton & Cheryl Hodge; Aunt, Darlene Hodge; Uncles, Tim and Russel Fraser; Uncle/Aunt, Greg & Chris Yarbrough; Uncle/Aunt, Jimmie & Susie Fowler; Uncle, Pat Fraser and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his sister, Kaitlin Annalie Fraser; his uncle, John Everett Hodge; his Grandfather, Clifton Edwin J. Hodge; his Grandfather, Thomas A. Fraser; his Uncle, Elbert C. Woodhams; and his Aunt, Dorothy Woodhams.
