Fire May Be Contained By 9:00pm, Evacuations Lifted

Angels Camp, CA — CDF officials are reporting that the 135 acre vegetation fire in the Diamond 20 expected to be contained by 9:00pm.
The fire has destroyed two out buildings and caused 40 homes to be evacuated. The blaze is located between Hub Court and Chuckwagon near Copperopolis.
The homes affected are in the area of Buckboard at Stagecoach and Surrey at Hodson.
CDF officials say the fire was caused by two vehicles using jumper cables, which caused a spark and ignited the grass.
