Jamestown, CA– The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection along with the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s office are to be commended for placing Steven John Lyons behind bars and away from matches.

The 34-year-old has been arrested after intentionally lighting three separate fires in the Jamestown area. Lyons faces charges for starting a vegetation fire off Harper Mine road on October 11th, and a one acre vegetation fire between Harvard Mine Rd and Pulpit Rock Road on October 22.

Officials say Lyons was also responsible for the structure fire at the Kwik Serve in January, which caused $100,000 damage to the store. Lyons is currently being held at the Tuolumne County Jail.
