San Andreas, CA — A distracted Valley Springs driver is recovering from injuries after losing control of her car Wednesday.
The Highway Patrol says 55-year-old Melinda Pairan was traveling on Highway 26 at 40 miles an hour, when she reached down to pick up her purse off the floor of the vehicle.
Reports indicate her car drifted off the roadway and began to spin out of control, causing it to hit an embankment. Pairan was transported to Mark Twain St. Joseph´s Hospital for treatment.
