Sponsored by:

Calaveras, CA– Three women are recovering from moderate injuries after colliding head- on with another vehicle.

Saturday, 44- year-old Robert McClure was approaching the bridge on Pool Station Road, and attempted to move to the right of the road when he saw the 2004 Lexus driven by Mary Lazaurs, coming from the opposite way. CHP reports as both proceeded to cross the bridge; McClure tried to move to the right in order to give Lazaurs and her passengers plenty of room.

McClure moved too far to the right and drove the passenger side of his vehicle off the edge of the roadway. McClure applied his brakes, trying to slow down and lost control of his vehicle causing him to swerve across the lanes hitting Lazaurs head- on. All three women in Lazaur´s vehicle were taken to either the Doctors Hospital or Sonora Community Hospital and treated for their injuries.
