Cars, Dogs, Ponies And Quilts In Calaveras

Sponsored by:

Calaveras County, CA — There´s lots to do and see this weekend in Calaveras County.

Beginning Friday and running through Sunday, the Independence Hall Quilters get things started with their annual quilt faire at Ironstone Vineyards. The Mountain Heirloom Quilt Faire features over 250 quilts, wall hangings, wearable art and dolls. Organizers say profits will benefit scholarships and community donations. Tickets are $7 at the door.

Also at Ironstone Saturday is the 3rd Annual Dog and Pony Show. Shows include an Agility Dog Challenge by Aloha Kennels, and the Murphys 4-H Doggone Good Dog Drill Team. Proceeds benefit the Calaveras Humane Society spay and neuter program.

On Saturday the Lake Tulloch Lions Club hosts Hot Copper Nights. From 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. the annual car show takes place at the Copper Cove Center. Food and music can be enjoyed as cars are judged and awarded prizes. All proceeds go toward the Lions Club community and humanitarian projects.
