Lake Don Pedro, CA — The four day Lake Don Pedro fire that started as a small vegetation fire cost close to $3 million to contain.
CDF and Tuolumne County fire officials say the fire started after 12:00pm Monday and was not contained until 6:00pm Thursday.
Reports indicate more than 1,100 firefighting personnel were assigned to the incident.
Fire officials say it did not take much of an ignition source to start the fire, so residents should be aware of the hot weather, dry fuel conditions, and high fire hazards.
