Sonora, CA — Although the Lake Don Pedro fire is 100% contained, the work for firefighters is not over.
CDF officials say fire personnel will continue to patrol the fire area, monitoring any hot spots that may still be active within the fire perimeter, and rehabilitate areas impacted by fire suppression.
Demobilization of excess resources will continue for the next few days and residents are advised to be aware of the additional fire equipment traveling the roadway returning home.
No injuries to firefighters or citizens occurred and no structures were damaged as a result of the fire. As temperatures again begin to climb and the humidity drops, the public is reminded to help prevent wildfires by exercising caution and vigilance when in the outdoors.
