Murphys, CA — The annual Murphys Heritage Day is here and organizers are looking for long time residents to be honored guests at an event luncheon.
Formerly called the Old Timers Luncheon, guests must be 70 years of age or older and have lived in Murphys, Vallecito or Douglas Flat for at least 10 years.
The annual event is put on by the Native Daughters of the Golden West, Parlor 46.
On the menu is barbecued chicken, and special side dishes. Attendees will be treated to gifts, prizes and music. The luncheon will take place at noon, July 16 in Murphys Community Park.
