Man In Critical Condition After Drunken Fight
Twain Harte, CA — A Tuolumne County man is in critical condition following a late night fight at the Sierra Twain Harte Mobile Home Park Monday.
The Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department says deputies found Mathew Clements with a deep cut across his neck, bleeding profusely. A short time later, Corporal K. Dickson located the other people involved in the fight.
A preliminary investigation showed four men got into a fight after a day of drinking. Reports indicate Robert Morash grabbed a box cutter and cut Clements across the neck.
A crime scene specialist from the Department of Justice was called out to assist sheriff´s investigators with processing the evidence from the case.
Sheriff´s investigators worked through the night sorting out the details of what happened and documenting the crime scene. Morash was booked at the county jail for attempted murder.
Clements was airlifted to Memorial Hospital in Modesto where he remains in critical but stable condition after surgery to repair a nine inch gash in his neck.
