Lake Don Pedro Fire Continues To Grow

Lake Don Pedro, CA — Starting as a mere 15 acre vegetation fire, the Lake Don Pedro fire had spread to 1,500 acres by 10:30PM Monday.

C.D.F. reported the fire, first reported at 1:45, was caused by individuals setting up a campsite near Hwy. 49 and Marsh´s Flat Rd.

By late Monday evening the fire was burning so close to the Hetch Hetchy power station it was causing lines to arc. Containment was listed at only 5%.

Moving in an easterly direction, the fire had not caused any injuries or structural damage at last report.
