Personal Customer Information Found In Copperopolis Home

Copperopolis, CA — Receipts with personal customer information from a local convenience store were recovered from a home in Copperopolis last week.
The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department responded to a residence on Feather Drive to investigate a report of a suspicious circumstance.
An investigation revealed that the register receipts from the Kwik Serve Gas Station had been released to a member of the public, exposing identification numbers.
The receipts were returned to the store without further incident.
