Arrest Made In Prescription Fraud Case
Sonora, CA — A Calaveras County woman is facing several charges after being arrested for forging prescriptions at the Sonora Wal-Mart Monday.
The Sonora Police Department was called Monday afternoon when pharmacy employees noticed the same women who used her children to pass forged prescriptions two weeks ago was back in the store attempting to do the same thing.
31-year-old Graciela Sanchez was arrested at the scene and officers found several blank prescription slips in her possession. Sanchez also had empty pharmacy bottles for painkillers.
The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department is also conducting an investigation involving Sanchez passing forged prescriptions in their jurisdiction.
