Copperopolis Homecoming Parade Enjoyed By All
Copperopolis, CA — It was a perfect afternoon for a stroll down historic Main Street in Copperopolis as the community celebrated its annual Homecoming Celebration and Charlie Stone Memorial Parade.
50 groups participated in this year´s event. They included Clampers, Girl Scouts and local firefighters.
It was a day celebrating the area´s history and old time families.
To kick off the parade descendants of Charles Stone carried the parade banner.
Members of the McCarty family drove a historic truck used by their ancestors many years ago.
Local historical artist Hal Jordan was honored by being the Grand Marshall this year.
Winning top honors as best parade entry overall was the Copper Canyon Baptist Church with its float featuring children in the Awana Club.
