Sonora, CA — Words can hardly describe the incredible beauty of Highway 108 over Sonora Pass.
The beauty doesn´t start with but it certainly includes the cascading elegance of Leavitt Falls in nature´s unspoiled arena.
And after a steep climb, the summit of Sonora Pass is finally reached … more than a mile and a half above sea level in the Sierra Nevada. This year´s snowpack has been measured at 180% of normal assuring California of a bountiful supply of water for the remainder of the year.
And finally, the peaceful descent from the snowcapped summit and peaks … a wonderful opportunity to view the beauty of the mountainous terrain … certainly a rare blessing that Mother Nature has bestowed upon California.
