Flood Watch For Sierras Goes Into Effect Sunday
Sponsored by:
Sonora, CA — The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch that will be in effect from Sunday morning through Monday evening for the Sierra Nevada.
A late season, potentially wet storm system is forecast to move into the area Sunday and continue through Monday.
Significant rainfall of more than an inch is possible during the storm, and with rivers and streams already running fast and high from snow melt, there is the potential for additional rivers and streams to flood.
