County Services Come To Copperopolis

Copperopolis, CA — Veterans needing assistance and welfare recipients living in Copperopolis will find it easier to access those services soon.

The Calaveras Works and Human Services Agency Monday got approval from the Board of Supervisors to open up offices in the Mark Twain St. Joseph´s Hospital clinic.

It´s a new agreement that has the county using the clinic free of charge one half day a week.

Cal Works is the county´s welfare agency.

Services to be offered include, the Veteran Program, food stamps and Medi-Cal

The county hopes to open more offices in the other hospital clinics in Valley Springs, Angels Camp and Arnold.
