CHP Believes Fatigue Played Role In Accident Thursday
San Andreas, CA — An Angels Camp man is recovering from minor injuries after he was involved in an accident Thursday afternoon.
The Highway Patrol says 76 year old Chris Brodehl was traveling south on Pool Station Road, south of the old cement plant.
Reports indicate 31 year old William Durden of Ione was traveling north on the same road when he allowed his vehicle to drift across the yellow lines into the path of Brodehl´s vehicle.
CHP officials believe that Durden was not being attentive to his driving due to fatigue from working a double shift. Brodehl was transported to Mark Twain St. Joseph´s Hospital for treatment.
