Habitat For Humanity Calaveras Travels to Gulf Coast
San Andreas, CA — A growing group of local volunteers are readying for a trip to the Gulf Coast area to build a home for victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Habitat for Humanity Calaveras is organizing the group. They´ve teamed up with Calaveras Lumber and the Construction Technology Alliance to build the home´s frame in Angels Camp and have it shipped as a kit to Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Habitat has secured a $75,000 sponsorship to pay for the project´s completion once the home arrives on site.
