Historical Preservation Society Forms In Calaveras

Calaveras County, CA — A new group has formed in west Calaveras County with the hopes of keeping local history alive.
They call themselves the Society for the Preservation of West Calaveras History. Its mission is to preserve the history of Burson, Wallace, Valley Springs, Campo Seco, Paloma, and Jenny Lind.
The group is a non profit and will work on acquiring historical items and making them available to residents. Its goal is to create a museum of West Calaveras County history.
