Sonora, CA — Homeowners in the Ponderosa Hills, Mount Provo, Arastaville, and Knox Road areas are invited to meet to discuss fire protection with the Highway 108 Fire Safe Council Thursday.
President Jerry Tannhauser says the subject areas consist of both public and private land accessed by Tuolumne Road north and Mount Provo Road.
A keynote presentation will address reducing flammable vegetation on larger private land parcels located near neighboring structures.
The open public meeting will be held at 6:00pm Thursday at the joint Forest Service-Tuolumne County Fire Department Station on Tomira Meadows Drive.
