A Bizarre Sunday Morning At The Sonora Police Department

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — Three members of the Harold Buck family were jailed after a bizarre Sunday morning incident in the Sonora Police Department parking lot.

23 year old Justin Buck had been arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Saturday evening.

Sunday morning his father, 54 year old Harold, and mother, 49 year old Cynthia, decided to, in the words of Lt. Mark Stinson, set the police officer straight concerning what must have been an incorrect arrest.

Father and son, ignoring police, then engaged in a fight. Officers immediately tased Justin Buck. He surrendered without further indident. After being forcibly restrained, Cynthia was arrested for interfering with police. Harold Buck than charged the officer who had tased Justin Buck, threw an errant punch and was then tased himself.

All three were booked into the Tuolumne County Jail. Harold Buck has a multi-county criminal record. No officers were injured in the melee.
