Sonora, CA — If you live in the Mother Lode you are less likely to be close to contamination.
A new study reveals that counties with the greatest populations also have the most widespread problems when it comes to contamination.
Officials with Environmental Data Resources say Calaveras and Tuolumne Counties are listed among several others that pose the lowest environmental risk in California.
The study suggests that environmental hazards are widespread in the most populated parts of the state, which is why officials are working with California real estate agents to arm home buyers with as much pre-purchase information as possible.
