Winter Storm Watch For Sierra In Effect This Weekend

Sonora, CA — A Winter Storm Watch will go into effect Saturday evening for the Sierra Nevada according to the National Weather Service.
The storm watch will remain in effect until Sunday afternoon. Heavy snowfall will begin by Saturday evening at 5,000 feet and drop to around 4,000 feet or lower by Sunday morning.
One to two feet on new snow is possible above 5,000 feet. Gusty winds of up to 50 MPH are expected as the system passes through over the weekend.
