Lodi Terrorist Case Goes To The Jury

Lodi, CA — The trials of two Lodi men in a terror-related case are nearing an end.

With closing arguments wrapped up Wednesday, the jury now has the case against Hamid Hayat. The 23-year-old is charged with providing material support to terrorists by attending a terror-training camp in Pakistan. He´s also charged with lying about attending the camp to the F-B-I. If convicted, Hayat is facing up to 39 years in prison.

His father is also facing the possibility of time behind bars. 48 year-old Umer Hayat is charged with lying to the F-B-I about the case. He´s facing up to 16 years in prison if convicted. Closing arguments in his portion of the trial are scheduled for today.
