Bar Fight Leads To Assault With Deadly Weapon Charges

Valley Springs, CA — Two Valley Springs men are facing assault charges after an altercation with a female bartender over the weekend.
The Calaveras County Sheriffs Department responded to the Valley Inn Bar for a fight between numerous patrons.
Deputies had to chase two men who were caught and arrested. They were identified as 25 year old Phillip Fernandez and 23 year old Stephen Fernandez.
During the investigation 43 year old Melissa Moore stated she was struck on the head with a bar stool by Phillip Fernandez.
Both men were transported to the county jail. The case is still under investigation.
