Mother Lode Radio Shack Stores To Remain Open

Sonora, CA — Despite Radio Shack´s announcement that approximately 500 stores would be closed, two Mother Lode stores will remain open to the public.
Sonora Video and Electronics Owner Dan Quinton says his Sonora Plaza and Angels Camp stores are owned on a franchise basis. Only corporate stores are being closed and according to Quinton they are located in the Carolinas and Virginia.
Quinton adds that the shutdown of the 500 stores is merely a restructuring by the parent Tandy Corporation.
