Arnold, CA — A group of 40 parishioners from Chapel in the Pines in Arnold are on their way to Mississippi to help victims of Hurricane Katrina put back the pieces of their lives.
Group leaders Clayton Smith, Steve Flake and Pastor Dave Waterman toured the area a while back and hooked up with a local church to identify families in need.
Those in need have severely damaged homes and are battling with insurance companies to get the repair work done.
The church group is made up of carpenters, framers and roofers. They will split up into teams and spend a little over one week repairing four homes.
