Sacramento, CA — The short break from the wet weather has come to an end.
The National Weather Service says a series of cold fronts will bring rain and snow showers to the Mother Lode as we move into the weekend. Afternoon showers and thunderstorms are expected today, with the potential for hail.
Another cold front will move through the region this evening and Friday causing more widespread snow showers and strong thunderstorms. Snow levels may fall to 1,500 feet by Friday lowering to 1,000 feet by Saturday.
