Angels Camp, CA — Second year Principal Aaron Rosander has resigned from his position at Bret Harte High School.
He submitted his letter of resignation to the district board Monday night.
Rosander said the leave is due to an ongoing long-term illness in his immediate family.
Rosander is leaving the area but plans to remain in the state. He is currently exploring some other offers for work.
Interim Superintendent Ron Lewis said the district is now actively looking for a new principal. Hiring someone will most likely happen sometime around when the new superintendent comes on. Interviews for that position are taking place next week. Lewis hopes to have a replacement by July 1.
Rosander´s last day will be June 30. He said he hopes to finish out the year strong.
