Annual Career Fair Hopes To Aid Students On Job Opportunities
Sonora, CA– Students are gearing up for their annual trip to the Mother Lode Fairgrounds where they will learn many different avenues of career opportunities.
The Career and Job Fair will be held on March 8th from 9am to 4pm. Officials say the majority of schools in the county attend the event bringing in about 1,200 eighth and tenth grade students to the Fairgrounds. The Fair will include booths focusing on a variety of topics including law enforcement, interior design, dental, and veterinarian related jobs.
The executive director for Partners of Education, Gene Smith says there will be about 60 businesses attending. The Career fair will be open only to students from 9am to 12pm followed by the Job fair kicking of at 1pm, which will be open to the public.
