State Releases Demographic Data

Sacramento, CA — According to new demographic figures, more people died than were born in Tuolumne and Calaveras counties in recent years.
This week the state Department Finance released county population estimates from the last five years. Twelve other counties were in same boat.
Tuolumne and Calaveras still saw increases in their populations due to migration.
New estimates put Calaveras´ total population at close to 46,000 and Tuolumne´s at a little over 58,000.
In 2005, the state´s population topped 37 million.
