Mountain Ranch Man Dies In House Fire

Mountain Ranch, CA — Calaveras County authorities are investigating the cause of a house fire that claimed the life of one Mountain Ranch man Tuesday.
51-year-old Mark Sowash lived in the home alone. He was trapped inside and perished.
Fire crews were called to the fire on Rail Road Flat Road at 12:40 a.m. and fought to extinguish the blaze until 6:12 a.m.
Sowash´s mom and sister lived in separate homes on the same property.
