Shooting Death In Jamestown Under Investigation
Jamestown, CA — A man is dead following a shooting in the parking lot of the Rawhide Saloon in Jamestown.
The Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department arrived at the scene before 3:00pm Wednesday and found the 34-year-old man dead as a result of a bullet to the head.
Lieutenant George Ruckman says the Rawhide patrons who heard the incident have been interviewed, however investigators have yet to find an eyewitness.
He says the death is under investigation and an autopsy is scheduled for Thursday. According to Ruckman no suspects have been taken into custody.
The identity of the man is being withheld, pending the notification of family members.
