CHP Says Road Work On HWY 49 Will Cause Delays

San Andreas, CA — Officials at the San Andreas area California Highway Patrol office say work on a slide area on Highway 49 north of Electra Road in Amador County will begin Tuesday from 8:00am to 5:00pm.
The work is expected to take two to three weeks and one-hour delays are expected.
The delay will affect all traffic headed to and from Jackson including traffic in Calaveras County. Drivers are urged to take an alternate route or leave extra early.
